FRIEDER NAGEL
Electronica
Neo Klassik
Frieder Nagel is a composer and soundartist from Nuremberg and famous for playing unconventional spaces. During the Paris Music Festival he created an electro-acoustic soundtrack for the historical expositions at the Musée des Arts et Métiers. For the 500 years anniversary of Magdeburgs cathedral his compositions accompanied a huge 3D-projection on top of the buildings old stone walls. In Nuremberg he installed audiovisual art on top of trees and inside backyards to keep music alive during the pandemic. Nagel composed for Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin and Essen Philharmonics, played during Reeperbahn Festival Hamburg and Multiplica Festival in Luxembourg. XLR8R described his music as an "otherworldly treat taking the listener down a constantly morphing auditory wormhole". As part of the Nuremberg Pop Festivals Frieder Nagel is going to open the exhibition "Floating Spaces" by photographer Gudrun Kemsa with his electronic live-set.
(Frieder Nagel will be playing as part of the fantastic photo/video art exhibition FLOATING SPACES in the Kunsthalle. Admission is also possible without a festival ticket.)
